Custom Graphics Artwork Requirements

The information below will help you exchange your ideas & artwork with us

Acceptable Software:
Our graphics department uses the following software...

Adobe Illustrator (CS4 or lower)
Adobe Photoshop (CS4 or lower)
Corel Draw

File Types:
The following file extensions are acceptable...

Rastor Artwork: .jpg .tiff .psd .gif
Vector Artwork: .ai .eps .pdf .cdr

Fonts:
Although our graphics department has several thousand fonts to utilize, we occasionally run across a font that we don't have. To avoid this situation we ask that, if possible, the fonts are converted to vector graphics or outlines before you send us your electronic artwork file...

Color Management:
For cut vinyl graphics there are several vinyl colors to choose from and we can in most cases find an acceptable match. If you know the specific PMS (Pantone Management System) values for the colors you're looking for, that information can help us determine the best color match. Feel free to call us or send an inquiry via e-mail if you have any questions or would like some assistance in determining the best color combinations suitable for your project.

In a situation where you require very specific or custom colors we can reproduce your artwork using a digital printing process. Note that most digital printing systems use a 4-color process and this works best when all your colors are converted to CMYK.

Digital Print Ready File Requirements:

• Should be provided at full scale or proportional to the scale of the final design.
• Should be provided in 4-color CMYK format or include the PMS values of each color.
• Should have fonts converted to outlines.
• Should be provided at the proper viewing resolution (refer to the chart below for help in determining the minimum viewing distance resolution for your artwork)
